An assistant professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst concluded his comparative politics course earlier this month by telling students the planet is dying because of human activity – and there is little hope of reversing course.
Speaking as a former UMASS-Amherst parent, I'm wondering why and how an assistant professor justified blowing off half of his class time to claim narcissistic attention for his personal theory, especially when it costs $60,000 in tuition alone for a four-year degree.
