Solar and wind power are nowhere near the usability required to enable the political fantasies of our puzzlewitted elites. If we really do have only twelve years left to address this [we don't], then this is the only solution.
However, since green is the new red, climate concern is really just an excuse to grab power and revenue and limit the participation of the non-elites in public discourse. So, never mind.
